Jumpthrows are the easiest ways to get the maximum distance with your grenades in Counter-Strike 2, but unless you want to perfect the timing on them, you may need the help of a specific keybind.

Counter-Strike 2 is a tactical shooter through and through, so even simple aspects like throwing grenades requires more thought and care than in most shooters. The game lets you customise this even further with binds to execute specific, so check out how to create a jumpthrow bind and use it.

How to create a jumpthrow bind in Counter-Strike 2

Creating a jumpthrow bind in CS2 is a fairly simple procedure, but it will require you to perform most of the steps outside of the game.

First, navigate to the Counter-Strike 2 Config folder here: Steam > steamapps > common > Counter-Strike Global Offensive > game > csgo > cfg. Next, create a new text document called "autoexec.cfg". In the document, add the following lines

Lines

alias "+jumpaction" "+jump;"

alias "+throwaction" "-attack; -attack2"

alias "-jumpaction" "-jump"

bind v "+jumpaction;+throwaction;" //Bind Key for Jumpthrow

alias "+runthrow" "+forward;+jump;"

alias "-runthrow" "-jump;-forward"

bind h "+runthrow;+throwaction" //Bind Key for Walk Jumpthrow

Once you've done that, save the new config and exit. Next, boot up CS2 and load into a private match. Now all you need to do is try out the binds to see if they work correctly.

By following the steps above, you will be able to use jumpthrows and walking jumpthrows in the game to get better distance on your grenades - all with the press of a key bind.
