The latest patch in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has been released worldwide, and it's brought a wealth of content for players to explore and uncover, including the new story of Zaralek Caverns.

Not only this, but there are tons of new secrets and treasures for players to find. This guide will be breaking down how to unlock the Blazing Shadowflame Chest in WoW: Dragonflight.

How do you open the Blazing Shadowflame Chest?

In order to be able to open the chest, you will need an item from the original Onyxia raid. This item is the Onyxia Scale Cloak.

Don’t panic if you don’t have it! If you don’t fancy running the raid in order to get it, you can simply go to the Auction House and purchase it, as it’s a Bind on Equip item. Equally, if you have the pattern, you can craft one yourself in the game

Once you have the cape, head to 28.9, 47.5 in Zaqali Caldera of Zaralek Cavern. You’ll then want to equip the cape.

Once you’ve arrived, you’ll find yourself at a waterfall of lava. You may take a significant amount of damage from it as you have to wade through lava to get to the rock where the chest is, and you’ll be able to open it.

You won't be able to open the chest unless you have the cloak equipped, or it'll tell you the heat is too much to bear. Using the cloak is the only way to get the chest open at the moment.

This chest will grant you the toy Blazing Shadowflame Cinder, which envelops the user in Shadowflame for 10 minutes.
