Searching for the best monitor for PS5? The PlayStation 5 is a powerful console, and you need a high-spec screen to take full advantage of its capabilities. We have scoured the internet for displays specifically suited to the PlayStation 5. Here are our picks for the best monitors for PS5.

Sony INZONE M9

Who better to build the perfect monitor for the PlayStation 5 than Sony? Alongside the PS5, Sony released a whole range of peripherals designed to work with the console, like their 3D headphones that take advantage of the PS5's amazing sound. Likewise, Sony designed the INZONE M9 monitor to perfectly represent the console.

This 27-inch monitor boasts a 4K display, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a minuscule 1 millisecond of input delay. This bespoke PS5 monitor has several features designed specifically for the console. For example, the monitor's Game Picture Mode tailors the experience specifically to the PS5.

It also helps that the styling of the monitor is similar to the look of the console, making your setup look even better. At $900, it is a very expensive screen, but you will be hard-pressed to find a monitor better suited to the PlayStation 5.

The lines between TVs and monitors have become blurred, to the point that often the only difference is the lack of smart TV features. Smart TVs can be pricey, and if you want a PS5 display with all the gaming features of a top-range TV without the unnecessary extras, the Gigabyte AORUS monitors are what you want.

The AORUS FV43U  is a whopping 43-inch screen, with a 4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. For all intents and purposes, this monitor is a top-of-the-range gaming TV minus the fluff. The RRP of the monitor is a cool $1000 but it can often be found on sale for much less, so be sure to shop around.

LG UltraGear

In the realm of more typical PC-style monitors, the LG UltraGear is a stand-out option. LG are well known for making high-quality displays, and this is one that is ideal for both PC and console gaming. The monitor is 27 inches, a great size for desk setups. The concessions are that instead of 4K, this monitor maxes out at 1440p. You still get an amazing 144Hz refresh rate, which easily covers the PS5's 120 frames per second capability.

If you want a decent-sized monitor on your desk that can be used both for PC or PS5, or simply a discreet display for your PlayStation, the LG UltraGear is the way to go. They retail for around $400, a fraction of what you would pay for the same technology in a TV.

The great thing about monitors is, you can get a lot of bang for not as much buck. While it is great to get the most out of your PS5, there are practicalities to consider. For example, 4K monitors are expensive, but they are also typically smaller than televisions. A smaller display, such as the Acer Nitro KG272S, may not need the high pixel count. As such, this 1080p monitor could serve you well.

For the trade-off, you get some serious benefits. The Acer Nitro is a 165Hz display with just half a millisecond of input delay. This is an ideal monitor for online and competitive games, and it will still look crisp thanks to integrated HDR10 support. Best of all is the price, as you can get an Acer Nitro for $200-$250.
