Assassin's Creed Mirage is out, and some players will want to know how long the game is before they play it. This throwback to classic AC gameplay is an impressive return to form for fans looking for that, but how long is it compared to more recent AC games?

Assassin's Creed Mirage is set to take the series back to its classic action-adventure formula, abandoning the huge RPG-focus of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla from recent years. It's a return to the series roots, and should take players less time to complete than recent titles.

Keep reading to find out exactly how long it took us to complete the game, and how long you can expect it to be for your playstyle.

How long is the story?

The story of Assassin's Creed Mirage took us around 15 hours to finish on our first playthrough. That includes a few side quests thrown in there, but for the most part we stuck to the main story.

That's a little quicker than other recent AC titles, notably Valhalla which was the previous game and one of the longest in the franchise by far.

It could take you less than 15 hours if you focus solely on the main story, or if you're a particularly good assassin.

This isn't too dissimilar to the older games in the series. Assassin's Creed 2 was roughly 20 hours in length for those following the main story, with the follow-up, Brotherhood, coming a little under at 15 hours. For both games, the length could go up to 30–35 hours if you took part in lots of the side content.

How long will it take to find everything?

Some players will prefer to take their time and uncover all the game's secrets and collectibles. There are lots of them in Assassin's Creed Mirage, primarily Dervis' artifacts and the Enigmas

If you're a completionist, and you want to collect everything in the game, you can expect it to take somewhere around 25-30 hours in total.

This could vary depending on how slowly you like to play, but regardless, the extra content will add a lot of hours to the overall playtime.

And that's it for our explainer of how long Assassin's Creed Mirage is likely to take you to complete. You can expect up to 15 hours if you focus purely on the game's story, and an additional 10 or so hours if you want to collect everything and complete side quests.
