Call of Duty is less than two weeks from embarking on its newest adventure, with Black Ops Cold War being released on November 13. With Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies all being released upon launch, developers have decided to beat the eggs on Warzone for a little longer to ensure a smoother consistency.

Developers have already confirmed that Warzone will be diving into the Cold War era in December, a month after the release of the game, allowing a period of time for players to enjoy the other aspects of the game before a huge switch-up in Verdansk. Or wherever we're heading next...

However, ahead of the launch, one Activision employee has confirmed that Warzone will actually remain on the same engine as Modern Warfare, with the Black Ops Cold War weapons being incorporated into the current model.

Fans on the Restra forum have been discussing what will happen to Warzone upon the release of Call of Duty's 18th game, and Activision's Lead Artist "ShutterMonster" has stated, "There will not be an engine shift for WZ".

This means that the visuals, audio, movement mechanics and vehicles will all remain the same in Warzone for the Black Ops Cold War era, although you can count on a new map to suit the rustic feel of the 80's warfare that will be prominent in the next instalment.

Mechanics such as Mounting, which is not a part of Black Ops Cold War, will presumably still be able to be performed in Warzone, alongside the use of doors and the infamous slide cancel.

With 11 days left until Black ops Cold War's official launch, we may see more details of how Warzone will be embedded in the near future.
