Raven Software 'Investigating' Warzone FOV Slider For Console
Raven Software has recently shifted momentum in the way they deal with the communities woes, adding much more transparency and communication to their operations. With vastly more detailed patch notes and comradery with streamers on social media, the developers are working hard at earning a spot inside the hearts of Call of Duty: Warzone players.
However, upon every single tweet they send out, console players are littering the replies with "FOV slider" complaints, as console Warzone players are left at a disadvantage.
Raven Software is answering back though, investigating the possibility of an FOV slider for console players.
Investigations into a Warzone FOV Slider for Console
According to ChalieIntel, Raven Software was 'investigating' the possibility of adding a FOV slider into Warzone for console players. Despite the investigations, have yet give any confirmation whether at all it is possible for the developers.
With investigations still ongoing though, the signs are promising for console players.
Why doesn’t Warzone have FOV slider on console?
Most of the frustration behind the lack of a Warzone FOV slider for console players stems from the same function being available for the same players on Black Ops Cold War. Multiplayer, Zombies, and League Play all have the ability to have their Field of View changed. Furthermore, there is a slight FOV change for players in Warzone once Dead Silence is activated, proving that it is possible for the function to be added.
However, Raven Software has reiterated that the landscape differences between Warzone and Black Ops are completely different, with the small maps not having to display the same live large scale performances in the multiplayer experiences. Until recently, the FOV slider drastically changed many of the surrounding areas of the maps in Black Ops, with much of the renders being ignored to save frame rates.
Raven has previously said that the frame rate drop would be too severe in Warzone to add a FOV slider, leaving console players at a disadvantage over their PC opponents.
With hope, the developers' investigations will bring results in the near future.
