VALORANT Mobile Officially Announced By Riot Games
Riot Games has taken the gaming world by storm in the last 365 days, by introducing VALORANT to gamers across the globe.
Having been released in June 2020, the game now celebrates its first birthday, just days after hosting its first-ever international championships.
With its anniversary on the cards, Riot Games have rolled out a Dudley Dursley-esque birthday present assortment, with a huge range of new content including one colossal announcement (36?! But last year I had 37! I don't care how big they are!).
The biggest: Riot Games officially announces that VALORANT Mobile is under development.
Riot Games Announce VALORANT Mobile
Having previously been rumoured to be in development, and appearing on app listings, the developers have now revealed that to celebrate the franchise's first birthday, VALORANT Mobile is now fully in development.
Anna Donlon, Executive Producer of VALORANT at Riot Games said: “One of our top goals this first year was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS community and to prove to them that VALORANT will always uphold the fundamentals of a truly worthwhile competitive tac-shooter.
“To see our growing player community recognize and appreciate what we’re trying to do with VALORANT is beyond what we could’ve expected and we’re thrilled to soon offer the same competitive VALORANT experience to even more global players.”
VALORANT 1-Year Anniversary event
To commemorate the anniversary of the FPS shooter, alongside VALORANT Mobile, the PC game will be littered with fresh birthday content.
Riot Games will initiate a month-long celebration for VALORANT's birthday, where players will be allowed to grab their party poppers and earn a range of in-game customisation features.
Included in the rewards will be "commemorative digital swag, including a redeemable player card and a free event pass."
Having now surpassed 14 million active monthly players, VALORANT is on an ascendency to become one of the best esports in the world, and VALORANT Mobile will certainly spice up life on the move.
