Leaks suggest a mobile version of the game could be on the cards
The Valorant beta launched on April 7th, but eager fans were watching streams on Twitch to gain their very own beta key since April 3rd.
The beta will only be playable on PC, with console versions (for Xbox One and PS4) will come with the full release in Summer 2020 (exact date TBC).
However, Twitter leaker PlayerIGN, who usually specialises in PUBG leaks, has noticed something very interesting in the Valorant files.
FPS and Battle Royale games are no stranger to the mobile platform, with games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and most notably, PUBG making a success out of the port.
PUBG is the most popular mobile shooter and battle royale of all time, with 600 million players as of December 2019.
A mobile version of Valorant seems inevitable, as Riot Games will be porting their other massive title, League of Legends, to mobile in the form of "League of Legends Wild Rift" sometime this year.
PlayerIGN has revealed more mobile Valorant files, adding further fuel to the fire that Riot Games will be porting the game to mobile in the future.
Valorant is already the most highly-anticipated game of the year, and a push to mobile could make it the most popular game of 2020.
