VALORANT Are Giving Players A Free Player Card After Redemption Blunder
VALORANT has been good at rewarding fans with free goodies. Collaborating with Prime Gaming to offer players free cosmetics was a great turn for players and has given many fans a reason to keep coming back to the game.
It’s clear that cosmetics are important to VALORANT fans, and the fans are important to VALORANT. With this in mind, Riot Games conceived a way to give back to fans for tuning in to their new Duality video, offering them a new player card for doing so. But, it didn’t all go quite to plan.
VALORANT’s Duality Card Blunder
To coincide with the new story video Riot Games released recently, they unveiled a new player card that was free to download for a brief 48 hour period, offering a code to be redeemed on the VALORANT site for the item. However, the plan hit a snag.
Traffic to the site was overwhelming, and so many people were making attempts to download the item that the site was struggling to keep up, and the code entry simply wasn’t working for many.
In response to the immense demand for the card, the official VALORANT Twitter page voiced a change of plans.
They suggested that the time limit will be stripped away to make room for players to claim the item, but since, another change of plan has been issued. And hopefully, it’s the last one.
How To Claim The Free VALORANT Duality Card
A new solution has been offered to fans, and hopefully, it’ll bring an end to the Duality card saga. In fact, many are wondering why this didn’t come around in the first place, as VALORANT’s plan to give the card to players is to just… give it to them. The Duality Card will appear in players’ inventory soon, according to an official tweet.
So, if you’re looking especially for the Duality card, don’t worry - it’ll e with you soon, or maybe it’s already with you. This elongated stumble might have been a lot of stress for the Riot team, but, at least we’ll still get our free item. Wear it like a badge of honour - you were present during the great Duality blunder of 2021.
