Tommey Overtakes Aydan To Become Warzone's Highest-Earning Player
Thomas "Tommey" Trewren has swooped to the top spot as the highest-earning Warzone player, overtaking NYSL's Aydan "Aydan" Conrad.
When it comes to the world of Warzone, there is a long list of pro players you would want to avoid at all costs. This includes Tommey and Aydan, two esports players who, like the rest of the Call Of Duty community, have been adapting to a whole new map in which to take down their enemies: Caldera.
However, despite a number of COD players having various problems with the Pacific map, it clearly has worked in Tommey's favour as the player has now earned the title of the highest-earning Warzone player.
When Was Tommey Crowned Highest-Earning Warzone Player?
Tommey was first announced as the top-earning Warzone player on December 18 via a Twitter post which he shared. The announcement came following a victorious $100K battle with Tommey and his fellow COD pro Ben "Almond", in which the duo each took home $25,000 as well as a solid gold ring. After sharing how happy he was about the win, Tommey said on Twitter: "First four games I didn’t even get to touch a loadout, literally had a kill a map. We started heating up after that and just kept putting solid scores up and finished it with our highest. This event was so much damn fun, hope there’s plenty more like this."
It was no mean feat overtaking Aydan as the COD veteran broke records in November 2021, when he became the first player to earn $300,000 threshold in tournament earnings. However, while he reigned supreme in Verdansk (R.I.P.), Caldera proved to be more of a challenge. So much so, that the player slammed Warzone was 'embarrassing' and teased he was planning on moving to Fortnite.
How Did Tommey Become Warzone's Top-Earning Player?
Alongside his teammates Edy "Newbz" Juan and Almond, Tommey has had a flurry of success in the new Pacific Map, firstly with a $25,000 win at the UFC Invitational on December 10. This was then following by a brilliant victory in which the team bagged a whopping $100,000 at the FaZe Pacific Pursuit before huge success at the Baka Bros WonderLAN. This turned out to be the final nail in the coffin to ensure Tommey could claim the top spot as the player who has earned the most cash from Warzone.
However, it hasn't always been easy for Tommey. As well as having to compete against the world's greatest Warzone players, he even had to fight his way back on to Twitch after being accidentally banned from the platform. Yet, that hasn't stopped the player from earning his way to the top and, as of writing, becoming the Richie Rich of Warzone.
