Riot Games' newest title, VALORANT, has been dominated by Sentinels throughout most of 2021, with their flamboyant fragger Tyson "TenZ" Ngo being branded as the best player in the world, or at least in the top three.

Many people have set their aspirations on emulating TenZ's skill, wondering just how he rose to be one of the greatest players of a generation, with fans jumping into the firing range and aim labs to perfect the art that TenZ has mastered.

However, it appears that the Canadian may have something more than just raw skill in gaming, and is simply just genetically better - and it all stems from his Grandma.

TenZ's Grandma is a League of Legends veteran, as shown by her grandchild, after he posted on Twitter that she's reached level 1,000 on Riot Games' MOBA.

Operating under the name of "FeatherThorn", TenZ's Grandma has reached the outrageous milestone by only playing the All Random All Mid (ARAM) playlist. The game mode randomises your champions and differs from the usual three-lane Summoners Rift, instead taking place on Howlers Abyss with one main lane to attack through.

Players have also found that she's even notched up Penta Kills against opponents, as recently as October 18, in a game where she gathered 26 kills and 11 deaths.

Speaking on-stream a year ago, TenZ admitted that his Grandma has more hours in LoL than he does in Counter-Strike, a game where TenZ was a professional player.

It's now clear why TenZ is a unique esports professional: it all lies in the gaming genes.

Maybe our kids will be slightly better than us after all.
