Street Fighter 6's State of Play reveal certainly jabbed its way into the headlines, as the previously ridiculed logo was secretly uppercut into oblivion and replaced by a sleeker kick-ass design specific to the title - rather than the franchise.

The next instalment of the blockbuster anime boxer has now showcased an expansion to the open world, but before you get any ideas of that virtual reality Black Mirror romance episode, you'll be thankful to know that the main focus of the game persists with beating each other up - not getting raunchy or becoming lost in otherworldly dimensions.

With the core focus of Street Fighter 6 persisting, it's no surprise that there is a large sense of importance weighed on the commentators, especially with SF producing some hugely iconic voice quips over the years. That was a battle of spirits, not fists - Ryu.

Capcom Reveals Street Fighter 6 Commentators

With a real-time commentary option in English and Japanese, alongside subtitles in 13 languages, the two voices in their respective tongues have now been revealed by Capcom.

Popular fighting game commentators Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez and Ryutaro "Aru" Noda will be taking the quips to a new level in SF6, while more commentators are set to be added to the list in the coming weeks.

As usual, the Capcom reveal showcases over-the-top excitement and detail from the commentators, which will likely appeal to the SF6 community, and if they don't, well, turn them off. Simple.

"The commentators will also get more and more excited as the match heats up, and also deliver easy-to-understand explanations of the game, making it a great learning tool for beginners. More commentators to be announced!", reads the official website.

Street Fighter 6 Lineup Leaked

As Vicious and Aru get to learn the ins and outs of each fighter's skill set and abilities, the full line-up has reportedly been leaked.

We already know that franchise legends like Ryu, Cammy, Chun-Li, Luke, and Jamie are all coming to Street Fighter 6 with their knuckles strapped. However, a leaked image shows a full cast of starting champions, including three new faces.

Kimberly, Lilly, and A.K.I. who hail from the United States, Mexico, and China, respectively are all brand-new to the Street Fighter lore, leaked to be the first three deadly punchers that Vicious and Aru will be commentating over.

As the Street Fighter 6 release date nears, it might be time to dig out your old bandanas. It's about to get serious.
