Fortnite has a lot going for it. It’s got ridiculous properties under its belt in the form of cosmetics, and the gameplay helped to define the rise of the battle royale. It’s an impressive title, no matter what you think of how it plays or looks - but it’s missing iconic maps.

Obviously, it’s something that’s hard to avoid when you’re working with such large-scale locales, but the heavy lifting of iconography has had to fall to the game’s characters and dances.

One fan, however, has decided it has been this way for too long - and has injected some iconic and classic maps from another gaming series into Fortnite.

Player Recreates Call Of Duty Zombies Maps In Fortnite

One player has gone the extra mile to add some recognisable maps to Fortnite, sharing a video of their impressive work to the CODZombies subreddit. User mist_jawaYT has revealed a video that sees classic Call of Duty Zombies maps recreated in the game’s creative mode.

The video hovers over and through classic maps like Nacht Der Untoten, Der Reise, Shi No Numa and more, alongside what seem to be functioning perk machines and wall guns. The perk machines give off an ambient glow, too, filling the dingy locales with light.

You wouldn’t expect that Fortnite’s creative mode would have the tools to make such loving and accurate recreations of Zombies maps, but this user has done a brilliant job of bringing the spooky maps to life.

But that’s not all.

Player Builds Working Mystery Box In Fortnite

The very same user shared a video to their YouTube channel back in 2020, showing off how they built their own Zombies-style mystery box in-game in Fortnite. The video shows how the box works, asking for 400 wood as a deposit, and it offers a random weapon of a random rarity to the player in return. Luckily, too, if you wanted to build your own, Mist Jawa has you covered - the video takes the viewer through exactly how they build the box step-by-step.

This user seems incredibly dedicated to the craft of rebuilding Zombies in Fortnite, and is truly pulling out all of the stops. Now all they need to do is unleash a few Grizabellas in there, and we’ve got a fully-fledged Zombies mode on our hands.
