The queen of the League of Legends European Championships is returning to the broadcast team, and her throne at the LEC's Berlin studio is set to have the echoes of players' celebrations reverberating of its armrests as a "step-by-step" return to LAN action is being rolled out.
The LEC has got off to a rather dubious start, as Rogue kicked off their season with an undefeated nine wins, whilst the new-look rosters of G2 Esports, Team Vitality, and Fnatic, have all faced some slight teething problems. However, the action is set to ramp up significantly, going into week five.
SJOKZ ANNOUNCES RETURN TO LEC DESK
Having missed out on the first few weeks of LEC action, Eefje "sjokz" Depoortere is officially returning to the broadcast talent.
The beloved Desk Host returns to action in week five, taking her place as the face of the LEC once again - a role in which she was awarded the "Best Esports Host" accolade at the Game Awards 2019.
Sjokz recently opened up about missing the first few weeks of action as contract negotiations between her team and Riot Games had reached an impasse. The 34-year-old Belgian took to Twitter to say: "My team and I have not yet found a mutually acceptable agreement with Riot. We are hopeful we can find common ground soon so I can appear back on the show."
It appears that the two parties have shaken hands on a deal, and Sjokz will appear in front of the camera as Misfits take on Team BDS on February 11 - on stage...

LEC To Return To Berlin Studios
Having got the ball rolling with the LEC season in a completely online setting, Riot Games has now revealed that they are opening up their Berlin studios for two games per day, in a step-by-step plan to return to a fully LAN setting.
"We will welcome back teams competing in games one and five to the LEC main stage," said the LEC in a statement on social media.
Having consulted with the relevant authorities in Berlin, the LEC will begin to reintegrate teams back into the LEC studios, having been forced away from the stage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The moves mean that Sjokz will have four games to analyse in the studio, as Misfits vs BDS, MAD Lions vs G2 Esports, BDS vs Excel, and Vitality vs Fnatic will all be boosted by the live event (albeit behind closed doors) atmosphere for the first time this year.
