Rocket League Season 2 is fully underway and it brings a number of new features and balances to the game. Since the complete overhaul of certain features to coincide with going free to play in Season 1, Rocket League has now been treated to a new map, decals, challenges and more.

Here's everything you need to know about the Rocket League Season 2 patch notes.

New Arena: Neon Fields

A brand new arena has been added to the casual and competitive playlists: Neon Fields. With a bright neon background and a clean finish that differs from Neo Tokyo, the new map will allow players to be the brightest spark on the field in style.

Player Anthems

Player Anthems will play your favourite Rocket League tracks whenever you either score a goal, make an Epic Save, or earn MVP honours. You can choose which soundtrack can complement your play by heading to the Player Anthem section on your profile settings.

Five Player Anthems are now available to all players from the Rocket League Soundtrack Vol. 1:

  • "We Speak Chinese" by Mike Ault and Abandoned Carnival
  • "Love Thru The Night" (feat. Morgan Perry) by Mike Ault
  • "I Can Be" (feat. Crysta) by Mike Ault
  • "Flying Forever" (feat. Morgan Perry) by Mike Ault
  • "Angel Wings" (feat. Avianna Acid) by Mike Ault

Season 2 Progression

The new season will see a refreshed battle pass featuring the new R3MX - a stylish body that uses the ‘Hybrid’ hitbox. Tournaments have also been reset with all outstanding currency being cancelled. Players will now be able to compete for updated Season 2 tournament titles and rewards within the cups. More challenges have been added to the circuit to allow for a weekly insurgence of XP.

Competitive Season 2 has kicked off, so grab your rewards from Season 1 and grind towards your new placement.

Esports Decals

Esports Decals have been updated in the store, with nine new teams being added to the shop. The store has scrapped the rotational basis in which it used to sell items on and will now permanently hold all 18 teams' bundles in the esports shop section.

Season 2 is now underway, make sure to head in and musty flick your way to becoming a Supersonic Legend, or if you're like me, whiff your way through Diamond and rage quit every night before loading up the following day.
