Rocket League updates UI with awesome new boost monitor icon

Oh, you pesky boost hoggers are in for it now. 

There's no more hiding if you're that Rocket League player who gathers double boosts off kick-off or collects those large top-ups when you're on 50+ and we're starving on below ten. There's no bluffing the "Need Boost" quip anymore.

Why? Well, Rocket League is outing you all by updating the UI to notify players how much boost their teammates have.

Rocket League drops incredible new UI feature

As of April 16, Rocket League is implementing a new UI feature in-game, which will allow players to monitor how much boost their fellow teammates have. 

This will also enable players to evenly share out boost, identify who is open for passes and plays, and which of the random-fill players keeps hogging all of the big pads.

The icon appears to be easy to read too, with a circle next to the players' nametag which will be fully white on 100% and will decrease to be transparent as their tank empties.

Already this has been widely praised by players, with the likes of Mariano "SquishyMuffinz" Arruda saying, "I feel like this change was great for the game, in any team game displaying resources openly to the team will help you make more plays and more confidently preposition for what you think should happen next especially when playing ranked by yourself."

Rocket League updates item rarity names in new update

With every good thing in Rocket League comes another feature that divides the community, that's the way the ball rolls.

The next update will also harmlessly adapt the names of the item rarity system, changing Very Rare to Deluxe, for example.

But players don't seem to like change too often, with some fans questioning "why?"

Both updates will be rolled out on April 16, and while they might not be the biggest of changes to Rocket League they appear to be the first of many lined up to improve the quality of life on the Soccar game which has previously screamed for a bit of TLC.
