This is the one that we've been waiting five years for: Rocket League is collaborating with Cars to bring the highly-requested Lightning McQueen car alongside the Life Is A Highway Player Anthem.

Given the nature of Rocket League, fans have been treated to a wealth of car crossovers in years gone by. Most notably, there are Batmobile variants, Fast and Furious, and even the Ghostbusters Ecto-1.

Now though, the ultimate crossover is finally here, as Lightning McQueen is zooming onto Champions Field as Rocket League's first-ever reactive car.

Amid rather turbulent weeks for Rocket League, including a potential Racing mode inside Fortnite and the removal of player-to-player trading, publisher Epic Games is now giving players its most-requested collaboration ever.

Lightning McQueen will be air-rolling into the game with its Dominus Hitbox as of November 7.

The Disney character, who made his movie debut in the original Cars movie in 2006, will have facial expressions that change throughout the game, where his eyes will scan the arena for the ball and will narrow in typical McQueen fashion as you enter supersonic speed.

There will be three variants of McQueen to choose from too, as the Mega Bundle will contain the Rust-eze Decal (McQueen's signature look from the first film), the Cruisin’ Decal (his leisure-mode look), and the Dinoco Decal (the proposed light-blue variant of his car from Tex Dinoco).

Of course, the Rocket League Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle won't just have the three bodies, but it will also have the iconic Life Is A Highway song as a new Player Anthem and a handful of more customisation features.

Costing 2,500 Credits, the Rocket League Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle contains:

  • Lightning McQueen Car (Dominus Hitbox)
  • Rust-eze Decal
  • Dinoco Decal
  • Cruisin' Decal
  • Lightyear Racing Wheels
  • Lightyear Dinoco Wheels
  • Lightyear Whitewall Wheels
  • Ka-chow Goal Explosion
  • Lightning McQueen Player Banner
  • "Life Is A Highway" Player Anthem by Rascal Flatts

So, get ready to "Float like a Cadillac, sting like a Beemer," as McQueen is ready to flip-reset his way to Supersonic Legend.
