The hills are alive with the sound of music as Riot Games has partnered with Universal Music Pictures Group (UMPG) to create original songs for the League of Legends Worlds Finals. The news comes after 14 famous UMPG stars took part in a music camp back in July to put their minds together for six unique songs.

New League of Legends songs set to debut for Worlds Finals

The camp was held at Shanghai's GUM Studio from July 24 to 27. Among the roster of talent was stars including Matzka, Gong, Chiyo Monna, and plenty more. Although these names might not mean a lot to some of us, all of the above are huge in Asia.

More than this, they're especially big in China - where the Worlds is being held. Matzka was the Golden Melody Awards (GMAs) Best Band, Gong is a GMA Best New Artist nominee, Chiyo was a contender on Chuang 2020 contender Chiyo.

The full list of talent includes Matzka, Gong, Chiyo, Moi Yang, Nia Yang, Tian Mi, Xiao Junfeng, Rtruenahmean, JZlee, Daniel Kim, Dru Chen, Laird Yu, Chris Lyon, and Rabitt.

Discussing the partnership, Andrew Jenkins -  president of UMPG Australia and Asia Pacific - said, "We set up our Beijing office with this in mind, appointing a best-in-class local management team with a shared goal of focusing on developing the rich potential of Chinese songwriters and allowing them to shine".

Those who tuned in last year will remember the KD/A live performance was a huge hit and was a showcase for some of the biggest names in K-pop. Riot may have geared the entertainment toward its Asian audience, however, the show also went down a storm in other parts of the world.

Here's hoping the partnership with UMPG will garner even more attention for the LoL Worlds Finals. Riot recently confirmed it will be held entirely in Shanghai, which is a change from the original plan to tour around China.

It's full steam ahead for Riot as the 2020 World Championship heads toward its September 25 start date. UMPG's music is expected to be released throughout the event and lead up to the grand final on October 31. Here's hoping it's a soulful union between Riot Games and UMPG.
