Rick and Morty are no strangers to a scrap. They are, after all, gracing MultiVersus with their presence, and joining the roster of the fighters to show Bugs Bunny and Arya Stark who's boss. The show itself isn't exactly reluctant to get involved in violence and gore, either, and given their shared trauma, it's probably safe to assume that they've already seen it all.

Plus, as they've appeared in their own games like Virtual Rick-ality and they've explored the worlds of other games like in their God of War: Ragnarok promo, so they're certainly well seasoned on the gaming front.

They don't keep it outside of the show, either - as the team behind the show has debuted a clip that parodies one true icon of the interactive medium.

Rick And Morty Debut Their Street Fighter Parody

As the sixth season of Rick & Morty is currently airing, we're seeing clips of the show trickle out onto the internet - and a new clip has revealed that the new episode features the Justin Roiland take on Street Fighter.

The clip sees Rick and Summer sprawled on the sofa taking on the game Gettin' To A Street Fight, which the characters explain is different from the original game in one key way.

Summer declares the game "Street Fighter, but where you start at the beginning of each fighter's day and have to find each other to fight."

"It's very realistic. Doesn't even guarantee a fight will happen," adds Rick.

The episode is titled Bethic Twinstinct, and is airing this Sunday on Adult Swim if you want to see that sweet gameplay for yourself.

What's New With Street Fighter?

It's pretty good timing from the Rick and Morty team, especially as Street Fighter is gearing up to launch its brand-new title in the coming year.

We know that after it changed its logo following its controversial reveal trailer, that there are plenty of characters coming to the game. Of course, we still have Ryu and Chun-Li - but it has been confirmed that new characters called Luke, Jamie and Kimberly will be joining the fight in the new game, packed with a full open world for the first time in the series' history.

Street Fighter is about to get much more exciting, so it's just as well that Rick and Morty got involved. Let's dump them into Street Fighter as fighters to repay them. Because… you know. It'll be funny.
