Popular Twitch streamer Alexandra "Alliestrasza" Macpherson was left "shaken up" after her house was raided by a SWAT team while she was streaming.

Streamers may give us a brief glimpse of their homes while broadcasting in front of thousands of viewers from their living rooms, bedrooms, or even their kitchen. But, they often do their utmost not to share any exact details about their exact location for obvious reasons.

However, that hasn't stopped a number of content creators from being the victims of trolls who call a SWAT team to raid their homes. So much so, that hearing of a streamer being 'swatted', sometimes live on air, has become a regular occurrence.

Yet another streamer has now been added to the long list of creators who have become victims of swatting. Alliestrasza's stream was suddenly interrupted as a SWAT team stormed her family home and subsequently handcuffed them all.

What Happened To Alliestrasza As She Was Streaming?

Hearthstone player, Alliestrasza was in the middle of a stream on February 9 after having spent a week away from Twitch. Hearing her dog bark, Alliestrasza left her desk and was gone for a lot longer than expected. After voices could be heard in the distance, a SWAT team suddenly appeared on camera carrying guns and searching the premises.

This certainly isn't the first time that a streamer has become the victim of swatting live on camera. For example, Turner "Tfue" Tenney was swatted in the middle of a Minecraft livestream as well as Louis "LosPollosTV" Sammartino who was stormed by raid police mid-stream. Felix "xQc" Lengyel was even forced to move home due to being swatted on a daily basis.

How Did Alliestrasza React To Being Swatted?

After a short amount of time, Alliestrasza returned to the camera to announce that she was ending the stream. She explained that she had been swatted and that she and her family had been put in handcuffs. However, the 28-year-old stated that the police officers were very nice and that she was "fine."

Alliestrasza then took to Twitter to give fans an update about the events admitting that she was, understandably, "shaken up" but was "okay." She further claimed that "the officers were great and handled everything very well. They obviously had to take the threat seriously so our whole family was cuffed outside."

Following the "stressful" event, Alliestrasza reassured the officers that there was no threat to her family and "that this happens to twitch streamers sometimes." As she thanked her fans for their support and for checking on her, she shared her distress at the upheaval the incident had caused: "The amount of resources that were diverted here was insane, tho. WHY do people do this?!"
