If you've ever wondered what it's like to build computers for an esports team (come on, you know you have), PC Building Simulator is here to let you imagine a day in the life of doing just that. Don't worry, you can sit at the comfort of your own PC and take this in without having grease all over T-shirt and an angry team physically screaming in your ear.

The PC Building Simulator's Esports Expansion DLC has just dropped on Steam for £9.99 and gives players the chance to live their wildest esports roadie dreams. Developer The Irregular Corporation claims you will  "create, fix and upgrade rigs for professional esports players, and make sure your team rises to the top".

The new campaign mode is packed with teams, sponsors, and games - taking around 12 hours to complete. According to the official synopsis, there's a who's who of real-world brands that includes AMD, Nvidia, NZXT, Razer, and Republic of Gamers.

There are eight esports teams and five games. Sponsors will flood your in-game inbox with demands from the best of the esports world and demand your attention at the drop of a hat.

Expect PC Builder Simulator to become an additive obsession as you try and juggle teams, sponsors, and your manager - all while making sure your budget doesn't creep up to much. If you crack it, you'll work your way from the bottom to sit at the top with the cream of the esports crop.

For those who grew up with the likes of Theme Hospital and Theme Park World, you'll know how easy it is to sink hours into this type of game.

With esports being an industry on the rise, it's no coincidence The Irregular Corporation has released the expansion. Who knows, could the game be setting up the future of esports computer geniuses, ready to join FaZe Clan and all the rest?

Still, it's all very close to home for an esports journalist, and feels a bit like we've stepped into some sort of meta Matrix. Does this mean someone is controlling me whilst I'm writing this article?

Either way, it's sure to be a blast watching yourself progress from tech support to building towers as a master engineer for the best of the best. If you haven't already, you can pick up the base game for half price as part of Steam Midweek Madness sale from August 4 to 8.
