North American esports organisation NRG Esports have signed Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette to their VALORANT roster. He will be joining former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players Damian "daps" Steele, Sam "s0m" Oh and coach Chet "Chet" Singh.

The 25-year-old Canadian will be joining NRG Esports from Immortals who had just sold their players Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk and Quan "diceyzx" Tran to North American organisation 100 Thieves. Previously, the team achieved top 5 results at most events they had participated in, going head to head with teams like Cloud9 and GenG.G though usually falling short against the best teams in the region like Team SoloMid and Sentinels. Created with the idea of finding diamonds in the rough, KOLER had played with Immortals since the end of May alongside lesser-known talent that took the stage.

NRG Esports, a parent company of the San Francisco Shock and the Chicago Huntsment, had announced their entry into VALORANT at the start of October. The team is expected to announce the signing of at least two more players soon to be able to join the recently announced First Strike series. He will be joining CS:GO veterans daps and s0m who had just recently played together on Gen.G's CS team.
