When it comes to events in Call of Duty, Halloween rarely fails to deliver some of the best cosmetics of the year. With the spooky season in the past offering Saw, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Scream crossovers, it's always an exciting time to be a CoD fan.

As October is just October over the horizon, a set of leaks has revealed some of the Halloween Operators coming to Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2. These haven't been well-received by the community so far, with some claiming they're disappointed with the designs and slamming them as "lame."

MW2 fans are not impressed with leaked Halloween Operators

Taking to Twitter on August 30, popular Call of Duty account ModernWarzone showcased an early look at some of the leaked Halloween skins coming to MW2 this year - courtesy of Soupsilly.

The overwhelming response from fans was that the spooky Operators this year are "mid" and very disappointing. "Pretty lame compared to the MW19/BOCW skins tbh," said one user, with another arguing, "That pumpkin one is the only good one lol, I hope we get horror characters."

While these Operators haven't gone down well with the community, there are rumours that a crossover with The Conjuring is coming this Halloween. A chance to play as the terrifying Nun may be exactly what CoD fans are looking for, but we'll have to wait and see if the leaks have any truth to them.

How much will the Halloween Operators cost in MW2 & WZ2?

It's incredibly unlikely that the Operators and skins released in MW2 & Warzone 2's Halloween event will be earnable in-game, so you will have to buy CoD points if you want to get your hands on them.

We expect the bundles to cost the typical 2,400 CoD points from the store, so make sure to save up ahead of the spooky event.

Thankfully, these leaked skins look like they're just the basic Operators, with other datamines hinting at Ash Williams from Evil Dead, Alucard, Skeletor, and Spawn. There are also a tonne of in-game changes, so fingers crossed we're just being critical before a full reveal.

Only time will tell whether Activision can deliver a strong Halloween event, but the expectations are certainly high due to incredible collabs from previous years.
