Massive Fortnite x Marvel collab rumoured for 2023
To be honest, we're surprised it took until 2020 for Epic Games to realise the potential of a Marvel x Fortnite crossover. We suited up in spandex for the Multiversal Chapter 2 Season 4 and haven't looked back since.
DC got the jump on Marvel by adding Gotham City in Season X, but the Nexus War of Chapter 2 really showed what a full-blown comic crossover could do. Since then, we've seen a variety of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the shop and even a line of comics. Now, we're ready to suit up in spandex all over again.
New Fortnite x Marvel collab teased for 2023
It sounds like we're ready to turn the page on another Fortnite comic book this year, with a sequel to last year's Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War reportedly on the cards. The five-issue arc debuted in 2022 and included favourites like Iron Man, Shuri, and Wolverine teaming up with Jonesy, the Foundation, and more.
Reputable Fortnite leaker HYPEX has dropped the scoop and claimed a new comic book series is coming - reportedly called Fortnite x Marvel: Order Restored. There are no other details on the collaboration, so hold onto your horses until Donald Mustard makes an official announcement.
Although HYPEX has a strong history with Fortnite leaks, its information comes from a second-hand source of an unknown comic book store. It's true that stores will have the inside track on releases long before we know, but it's very much, "he said, she said," right now.
Are more Fortnite skins on the way?
Click to enlargeEven though we'd love to see another full-blown Marvel season that makes the most of Fortnite's new graphics and mechanics, it's more likely that the comic would simply be a tie-in that doesn't affect the main storyline of the game.
The good news is that another Fortnite comic crossover would almost definitely lead to new skins. Similar to how DC's Rebirth Harley Quinn was redeemed from comic codes before she arrived in the shop, or Marvel Unlimited gave us Spider-Man Zero, there's sure to be some incentive to stump up for the comics.
For those who enjoy jumping off the Battle Bus, another Marvel crossover means you'd better start saving those V-Bucks now. Although we don't know when Fortnite x Marvel: Order Restored will release (if it's real), those skins will likely fetch a pretty penny.
