If you cast your minds back to Blackout, the map mainly consisted of some of the most iconic landscapes that have blessed the Black Ops series, including Firing Range and Nuketown. Verdansk breathed similar air. Boneyard played host to multiplayer's Scrapyard, Port held Vacant, Prison is a recreation of the campaign's Gulag, and who can forget Burger Town's remaster?

So, it makes sense that the Warzone 2 map will follow suit by integrating Modern Warfare 6v6 landscapes.

We already know that Highrise is coming in the middle of the battleground atop a skyscraper, and now a new leak suggests that another Ground War map will give us a first look at the main Warzone 2 point of interest.

Modern Warfare 2 Ground War Map Leaked

Only a select few Modern Warfare 2 maps have been confirmed so far, including Farm 18 and the Marina Bay Grand Prix. But, just as the old-school MW2 maps have been leaked, so has a brand-new Ground War landscape.

Multiple leakers have revealed a snapshot of what looks like a large-scale Modern Warfare 2 map, featuring a range of tall buildings and some further open plains.

Alongside the 16 6v6 multiplayer maps, Modern Warfare 2 is set to release with four Ground War maps, with this image likely serving as one of them.

Warzone 2 Modern City POI Potentially Leaked

Many fans might have already spotted the similarities between this image and some rather familiar terrain. Although Warzone 2 is reported to be a "beautiful" blend of Caldera and Blackout, the snapshot contains many Verdansk-esque features.

From a football ground to the same bridges crossed in the OG map, the Ground War map appears to be playing a role in a larger environment. Given that we know Modern City, Warzone 2's main POI, will feature skyscrapers and follow suit from Downtown, somewhat, this Ground War map appears to be a landscape that we're going to need to get used to.

Of course, this could also be a feature of the DMZ map, which will differ from Warzone, but less has been detailed about how that map will play out.
