League of Legends mobile game, Wild Rift, is adding six new champions to the game ahead of the open beta later this month. The closed beta was launched on September 16, which allowed select players to try out the palm-sized Summoner's Rift, and was exclusive to Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Launching on October 28, the open beta will be accessible for players in the same regions, and will allow smartphone users to dive into the smaller map "Wild Rift" and surge towards the Nexus from the solace of your fingertips.

in addition to the champions that were available during the closed beta, six new champions will be added to the Wild Rift, all of which are familiar faces to those who play on PC. Although their abilities may be slightly different from those used on their PC counterparts, their skins and general gameplay will be very similar.

So, who will we see in the Wild Rift?

There were 43 champions in the pool for the closed beta, however, Riot has now announced six names will be implemented, including the brand-new Seraphine.

The new champions added will be Darius, Draven, Kai’Sa, Evelynn, Akali, and the aforementioned Seraphine.

This will now take the total of champions to 49, all of whom can be selected to use for a limited time until the next stage of beta testing. Riot Games intends on opening the beta out to more regions such as Europe, Taiwan, Oceania, and Vietnam by the end of 2020, although it is unclear when it will land in regions such as North America, Korea, and China.

Players who want to catch a glimpse of the new six champions in League of Legends: Wild Rift will be able to tune into the Verizon Wild Rift Invitational. The event will be held on Twitch Rivals channel, where iOS users such as streamer Nate Hill, DJ Zedd, and Dignitas' professional LoL support player Aphromoo will go head-to-head on the mobile game.
