We may be a little while away from Christmas yet, as Halloween is creeping up on the horizon, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t time to start thinking about the festive season. With gifts to buy and homes to decorate, there is plenty to consider in the run up to the holidays.

It became clear this week that the Pokemon Company has already decided how it will be celebrating as it launched its rather expansive Holiday Collection.

Pokemon has unveiled its Holiday Collection

On 25 October, The Pokemon Company unveiled its Holiday Collection and it covers a lot of bases.

Whether you are looking for kitchenware, pyjamas, ornaments, a Pokemon-themed Christmas jumper or hats and scarves to keep you warm in the winter, there really is something for everyone.

If you are ready to do some Christmas baking, there are Pokemon-shaped cookie cutters available for you to make your very own Eevee cookies and a range of Pikachu and Munchlax kitchen items such as pie dishes, biscuit tins and tea towels to add an extra hint of Pokemon to the baking experience.

For Christmas jumper fans, there are a range of knit sweaters featuring characters like Wooloo, Arcanine, Pikachu and Charizard. Alternatively, there are plenty of cosy looking PJs and t-shirts if jumpers aren’t your thing.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Pokemon collection without plushies and this drop is no different with its Very Merry Plush collection. There is an adorable Pikachu & Robot Dedenne Toy Plush, a Pikachu Wreath Plush and even a Stufful Doll Plush.

Pokemon fans have had a mixed reaction to the collection launch

There have been mixed reactions to the collections launch online, with some Pokemon fans being excited and others saying it is far too early to announce the collection.

One Twitter user commented: “Halloween hasn’t even happened yet, slow down.”

Another said: “Bro it's not Christmas until November 1st. Geez.”

The Pokemon Company seems to know that its collection is coming a little earlier than most people would like, however, writing “It's never too early to get ahead of the gift giving season! After all, the early Delibird gets the Orthworm, Trainers!” in its announcement tweet.

Not everyone thought that the release was too early however, with several fans commenting on how badly they wanted the items.

“If anyone loves me then I really really love this. It's so cute and awesome.” commented one Twitter user in reference to the snow globe from the collection.

Another said: “So many adorable things! I definitely need that munchlax mug.”

However the most controversial point in the tweet appears to be the “Delibird gets the Orthworm” comment, with several users pointing out how absurd that would be.
