How To Turn Off Crossplay In Warzone
Warzone, for all its problems, has become a great community game. The Call Of Duty experience has changed a lot over the years; from the sweary and tinny Modern Warfare lobbies of the Xbox 360 / PS3 era, to the communal ass-kicking of Warzone, there’s been a big shift in attitudes and playstyles. One of the best introductions to the series, though, is crossplay.
The ability to play games across different platforms has helped to dampen the intensity of the console wars, as regardless of which hardware you choose to invest in, there are many games you can still play with your friends. But, for Warzone specifically, it’s becoming a problem.
It’s no secret that Warzone has a problem with cheaters and hackers, with stim glitches and wallhacks plaguing many in-game lobbies and driving fans up the wall. But, as many Warzone plugins are for PC, they often appear more often in lobbies that carry crossplay. If you’ve had a nightmare with hackers and need to bring down the sum of cheaters drastically, turning off crossplay is the best way to counter this annoyance. Here’s how to do it.
How To Turn Off Crossplay In Warzone
All you have to do to keep those cheaters out is switch off crossplay in your settings. Log into Warzone and head to the options menu. Once there, navigate to the account tab, scroll down to the “crossplay” selection and switch it from “enabled” to “disabled”. Easy!
It’s an easy change, but one that should drastically improve your gameplay if you’ve struggled in lobbies with cheaters. Incremental patches aren’t doing much to keep them out at the moment, but until Raven are able to effectively keep the hackers at bay, this is your best chance at playing some games uninterrupted by unfair kills.
