Halo Infinite Toy Spoils Future Storyline
Halo Infinite has been an incredibly worthy successor to the long-standing shooter franchise. Master Chief has come a long way since the reveal of the Xbox, and this new campaign is the sincerest glimpse we've had behind the iconic helmet that we've had in some time.
Fans were concerned after the shaky footing of the franchise fourth and fifth mainline entries, but Infinite seems to have reassured fans with its bold open world and far superior visuals. It looks like the game isn't finished yet though, as a toy (of all things) has teased an extension to the popular campaign.
Halo Infinite Toy Has Revealed A New Character
It's clear that Halo Infinite has more to come, as a new toy has come with a synopsis that reveals an extension to the game's narrative. The mystery of what happened to Jameson Locke is a big part of some of the game's audio logs, and it would seem as though he was killed by a Banished warrior at some point. But…
As it would seem, Locke is alive and well - thanks to a Mega Construx toy. The toy comes out in 2022, and comes with the description that he is "designed as he appears in Halo Infinite" - but we haven't actually seen him yet. This means it's likely that Jameson Locke will arrive later on in a story expansion of some description.
What Is The Halo Infinite Story Expansion?
Though we'd usually have to wait and see if the game gets any story DLC, a new expansion for the game has actually already been leaked. A new trademark called "The Endless" has been discovered, and it has got fans thinking that a new DLC for the game will be coming.
There's also a new faction called The Endless mentioned near the beginning of the base game too, so it's expected that the game expansion will take us a little further into their world.
It's fascinating that it was a toy to reveal all of these details, and suggests that we haven't yet seen the last of Jameson Locke. But hey, we'll take it, toys are known for ruining some of the Marvel CInematic Universe's big twists. Also, any peek at what's next for Master Chief is a win in our books.
