GTA ‘insider’ goes wild, speculates when we can play GTA 6
It's fair to say that December 2023's GTA 6 reveal trailer completely broke the internet, finally giving fans a first taste of what to expect in Rockstar's next blockbuster experience.
While seeing the streets of Vice City, the main characters, and the outright chaos of the upcoming title was amazing, the main focus has been and always will be the release date.
Although a 2025 launch has been confirmed (and reiterated amidst fears it was going to slip), the community wants to know exactly when GTA 6 will be available next year. Now, a GTA "insider" who predicted everything correctly in the trailer may have the answer. As always, there's a catch.
GTA 'insider' reveals potential GTA 6 release date
JarlOfRivia is the person who predicted nearly everything correctly about the December GTA 6 trailer ahead of time, and as showcased by that1detectiv3, they've revealed a potential release date for the game.
According to the insider, Grand Theft Auto 6 will likely launch in Q1 of 2025, which is January or February of next year. Honing in even further, leaker Nuro locks in Tuesday, February 8, 2025. Although that source seems to be a "trust me bro."
This is significantly earlier than most of the community expected, with a lot of players speculating that mid to late 2025 was more likely.
Rockstar Games release dates are regularly delayed and pushed back
While certainly an exciting piece of information, it has to be taken in context with Rockstar's previous titles and its tendency to delay its games. Although the Q1 release window may be correct for now or was in the past, GTA 6 is going to be a massive game with countless features.
This opens up the possibility for problems to arise ahead of release, and this typically results in Rockstar pushing back the release date. We've already been warned by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick that GTA 6 is seeking perfection and won't release until it's ready.
Countless fans are predicting that GTA 6 is going to be delayed, and while this is always frustrating news, the game's community is confident the next chapter of this automotive juggernaut will be worth the wait. With GTA 6 being called the most important gaming release of all time by analysts, Rockstar will want to nail it.
