Lol Worlds 2026 Qiyana

Gen.G have finally broken their Worlds semifinal curse, sweeping Invictus Gaming 3-0 in Allen, Texas last night to book their place in the League of Legends Worlds 2026 final, and they'll find out who they're playing after T1 take on Bilibili Gaming at 10pm UK time tonight.

The win, reported by Sports Kyunghyang, GosuGamers and Hotspawn, sends Gen.G to their first Worlds final since the organisation lifted the trophy as Samsung Galaxy in 2017, and it's the first Worlds final of star mid laner Chovy's career.

How Gen.G swept iG

Jungler Canyon set the tone in game one on Qiyana, with Sports Kyunghyang reporting an early gank on Rookie's Syndra that snowballed into a Baron and a win in around 33 minutes, before Gen.G picked apart IG's aggressive bottom-lane gamble in game two and closed it out after a big fight just shy of the half-hour mark.

Game three looked like it might drag the series on, as IG raced to a 6-0 kill lead and more than 4,000 gold ahead, but Gen.G clawed it back with picks on TheShy's Gnar and around Baron, before Duro's Nautilus landed the hook on IG's Ezreal at about 39 minutes that started the fight which ended the series. Not bad for a team that's spent years as the nearly-men of Worlds.

"Personally, whoever advances, I want to beat them and win the title," Chovy told Sports Kyunghyang after the match, adding that he couldn't enjoy past Worlds because of the pressure to meet expectations, while this time he just wanted to play games he enjoyed.

T1 vs BLG start time and the final

The second semifinal is T1 against Bilibili Gaming, and the official LoL Esports schedule has it starting at 4pm local time in Allen, which is 10pm UK time tonight (Sunday, November 8). It's a best-of-five, so if it goes the distance you could be up well past 1am, and you can watch on the LoL Esports Twitch and YouTube channels or at lolesports.com.

T1 are chasing a fourth world title in a row after winning in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and they beat BLG in the 2024 final, so there's some history here. The winner meets Gen.G at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, November 14, at 2pm ET, which is 7pm UK time, and you can catch up on how the bracket got here in our Worlds 2026 semifinals guide.

Well, whoever comes out on top tonight, Gen.G will be waiting in New York, and we suspect they'll be watching this one with the popcorn out.
