Fortnite fans, prepare yourself for some extraterrestrial gameplay, as the likes of Peely and Agent Jones are about to get a visit from the unknown. Epic Games' latest chapter in an unfolding Fortnite tale will see unidentified flying objects take over the map.

Aliens are coming!

The developers have hinted at the invasion of aliens for a few weeks now, having seen some sprays and emotes being leaked, as well as multiple voice lines from a new character Mari featuring a range of eerie sounds from beyond the realm.

A range of Fortnite content creators have now been sent mysterious packages, that further confirm that the battle royale is getting a visit from out of space.

Fortnite Season 7 UFO teasers

Popular streamers such as Martyn Littlewood, Shaun "AussieAntics" Cochrane, Ali "SypherPK" Hassan, and Kathleen "Loserfruit" Belsten have been sent packages by Epic Games, containing some rather cryptic messages.

As the content creators began to decipher the DVD players and the contents of the disks, a variety of symbols and patterns can be seen etched into crop fields and other biomes. With each video being different for each streamer, the packages all had one thing in common, a simple message:

They're Coming!

Fortnite UFO leaks

As per usual, Fortnite leaker HYPEX has been hard at work getting ahead of the game, and has also shared information on what is happening with the UFOs in Fortnite Season 7. Taking to Twitter, he's revealed that the UFOs will abduct players from the arena.

Whilst abducted, up to 20 players can be found in the aircraft, including solos or full squads, and every player's health and shield will be reset to the maximum protection, regardless of what it was on the ground.

The evidence is rather damning, and also quite typical of how aliens are portrayed in the media - often announcing their arrival through signals before selecting their test subjects.

According to HYPEX, the first abductions will start in Season 6, before the feature is made to be a more prevalent fixture in every non-competitive match in Season 7.

Fortnite Season 7 UFOs are set to land as of June 7.
