Fortnite Chapter 5 Battle Pass leaks long-awaited skins
Epic Games does its best to keep a lid on everything Fortnite has to offer, but arguably, there's no community more dogged than the Fortnite community. As soon as an update drops, dataminers burrow in there to unearth hints at things that still might be months (if not years) away.
Now, the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass has seemingly leaked early and spoiled the surprise ahead of time. Alongside which beloved POIs will be kicked to the curb and what new weapons we'll have in our arsenal, the Battle Pass skins are one of the biggest draws of any new season.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Batle Pass leaks Peter Griffin, Snake, and more
We're (literally) entering a new chapter for Fortnite, with Chapter 5 Season 1 expected to go live after December 2's Big Bang event. There isn't long to wait, but the chronically impatient Fortnite fandom has done some digging and supposedly discovered some long-awaited skins for the upcoming Battle Pass.
Noted Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared the Battle Pass screen on Twitter, claiming it's an advert from the Xbox Store. The advert apparently went live early, showing off the crossover characters we can expect, and an official name for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, aka, Underground.
The big one is Peter Griffin, with the Family Guy patriarch being rumoured for years. Unlike Apex Legends, Fortnite doesn't have hitboxes, meaning it does't matter what size the skin is. Still, it looks like Peter has been working out. We don't know why a Family Guy crossover has taken so long, but we're happy either way.
Up next, we have Metal Gear's Solid Snake, giving us another legendary gaming collaboration. We've previously seen the likes of Halo, Tomb Raider, and God of War jump off the Battle Bus, and with MGS coming back to the mainstream via Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, it's about time we honour the Konami favourite.
Family Guy x Fortnite is the crossover we need
While some might've stopped watching Family Guy years ago, there's still a loyal fanbase for Seth MacFarlane's adult animation. It seems you can't wait to play as Mr. Griffin, while others are calling for a whole Family Guy shop with the Ernie the Giant Chicken also getting his time to shine.
Responding to the leak, one fan joked, "We really got Peter griffin in Fortnite before GTA VI," while another added, "Peter Griffin skin is absolutely legendary." A third said, "I will download and play Fortnite just to use this skin," and there were plenty of calls for a "Surfin' Bird" emote - you know it makes sense.
It turns out dreams really do come true, and with Peter Griffin finally coming to Fortnite, it's time to go back and check what other leaked skins from yesteryear haven't arrived yet. Either way, if Futurama AND Family Guy both appear, we're one step closer to getting Homer Simpson in Fortnite.
