Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake confirmed, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection coming to PS5
As many rumours suggested, Metal Gear Solid 3 is indeed returning in the form of a remake. At the PlayStation Showcase 2023, we got confirmation that the game that defined the PS2 is returning with a fresh coat of paint. Not much is yet known about this supposed remake, as the trailer did not give much away.

Click to enlargeThe trailer doesn't tell us much, other than that nature is cruel and gross. It shows a series of animals eating each other, including a snake. Fitting for a remake of Snake Eater, until Snake himself appears from the shadows.
The title of this remake is Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, or Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The remake is coming to PlayStation 5, but any exclusivity is yet unknown.
Exactly what we can expect from this remake is unknown, but considering the success of remakes like Resident Evil 4, and the upcoming remake of Konami's own Silent Hill 2, now is certainly the time for them.

Click to enlargeNot content with just one classic MGS game coming to PlayStation consoles, the Metal Gear Solid trilogy is also coming in Autumn 2023. Not remade, possibly remastered, but Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater will be available together as the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1.
The 'Vol. 1' seems to imply plans for future volumes, so fans can likely expect even more Metal Gear Solid games to receive rereleases in future Master Collections. The Master Collection Vol. 1 will be available on PS5 and PS4.
