As one door closes, another one opens (well, after three days of being sucked into a black hole). We're obviously talking about the impending reset for Fortnite Chapter 3. While some had thought we'd be getting a full 10-season Chapter 2, Epic Games is revamping things early.

Since its debut in 2017, Fortnite has continued to climb to the top of the charts and take the gaming world by storm - not bad for a free-to-play battle royale game. There are rumours are flying about who and what is coming to Chapter 3, and now, we've got our first look.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Ad: What's On The Way?

Seemingly unearthed by TikTok user freddythefox, they claim the ad popped up as an advert on the social media platform. It features a cast of staple Fortnite characters reenacting the Chapter 2 promo. This time, things go to crap pretty quickly, with an icy blast, some swirling water, and Jonesy emerging in a giant ocean.

We see a series of alien structures and flying UFOs - teasing that the villains of Chapter 7 will be making their return to the new map. As the aliens depart, the land emerges, and a giant tidal wave comes toward Jonesy. There's only a fleeting glimpse of the map, so apart from unofficial leaks, we're no closer to finding out what new POIs are on the way.

Fortnite Chapter 3: When's It Out?

We're definitely in the endgame for Chapter 2, with the current Season 8 being the end of the road. As the Cube Queen takes up residence in the centre of the map, we're heading toward another major event similar to Chapter 1 Season X's The End event. Galactus trying to devour the map was nothing compared to this.

Fortnite will be going dark on December 4, with a three-day hiatus allowing the devs to tinker away behind the scenes and unveil the brand-new map on December 7. Epic Games is currently on the assault, with the developer urging fans not to share details from the upcoming 19.00 update. Good luck on that one!

Even though Epic is trying to keep a lid on leaks, we've already had a potential tease of the new map, news of weapon attachments, and even an Apex Legends-inspired slide mechanic. The birth of Chapter 2 Season 1 was something of a nail in the coffin for a lot of pro-Fortnite players, but by the looks of it, Chapter 3 is generating the right kind of hype.
