After years in the English Premier Division, Football Manager fans will be able to enjoy a more authentic Premier League experience.

The long-running football management sim will feature a fully-stocked Premier League license for the 2024-25 season onwards.

Sports Interactive signs deal with Premier League

As announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter), a video of iconic Premier League moments gives way to confirmation that Football Manager will now be the "Official Football Management Video Game of the Premier League".

“Since Football Manager’s inception, we have always wanted to work with the Premier League, and we’re delighted to announce that at last we are”, Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson said.

"The partnership isn’t just about the huge in-game benefits it’ll give our fans, but also the opportunities it provides us to help with the incredible things that the Premier League and their clubs do off the pitch.

"That includes community and charitable work, two things we’re enormously passionate about, as well as the ability to work with some of their existing partners."

As per the partnership, Sports Interactive will be able to offer player pictures, logos, and kits for all twenty Premier League clubs as of next season. At present, the 'English Premier Division' is full of silhouetted players and generic kits, with players needing to install third-party add-on packs for a more authentic experience.

While the change won't happen until next season (we'd put our money on it being called Football Manager 2025), this year's game earned a 4.5-star review from us. We said:

"Football Manager 2024 is a return to being one of the very best football games and sims you can find. The set pieces add another dimension to gameplay, and the inconsistencies from last year's games have all been ironed out to make a complete entry to the series."
