Firebase Z Mimic Glitch Is Causing Havoc For Players

With the Black Ops Cold War Season 1: Reloaded update came the highly anticipated Firebase Z zombies map, following on from its predecessor Die Maschine. The map saw Samantha Maxis get hands-on for some undead action for the first time in the franchise.

Despite being an integral part to the aether storyline, Maxis' journey has yet to see her pick up a weapon and blast her way through the race that she was forced to become the leader of once. Now, free of the dark and manipulative element 113, she steps into her own light to take on Dr. Richtofen and the new boss zombies, namely the Mimic's and Orga.

With the introduction of yet another boss zombie, following on from the Megaton, the Mimic's almost replicate the Shadow of Evil Margwas and parasites, with the apothicons manipulating form become scarier with each instalment.

However daunting these gruesome, toothy, wailing flesh-eaters may be, they have actually been proven to be a useful resource thanks to this Firebase Z Mimic glitch.

As demonstrated on a viral Reddit clip, one player has managed to reach the teleporter by round six thanks to the exploit. After Doctor Peck commands the player to return to mission control, the game makes the Mimic spawn as a frightening jump-scare and lunges at the player.

Many sharpshooters may look to deliver a clip of the finest rays that Firebase Z has to offer into the Mimic's dome, but if you let the beast grapple you, it will launch you through the wall into the outside area and en route to the teleporter.

It comes as one of the more helpful and undamaging glitches that have occurred in the current instalments of Call of Duty, considering the rise and persistent nature of the stim glitch in Warzone.

It would come in useful for those who love a speedrun, although others may prefer to unleash hell on the Mimic for some much-needed early points towards a pack-a-punch upgrade.

Although it will likely get patched soon, let's hope Activision looks towards other serious exploits before patching this harmless manipulation.
