Drift0r Claims Warzone ‘Isn’t Worth Playing Anymore’
How long can you poke a bear before it gnashes its teeth, grinds its claws, and tears you to pieces? With Call of Duty: Warzone, hackers, cheaters, and abhorrent skill-based matchmaking processes have been prodding away at the best content creators in the world, and they're finally cracking.
They're essentially losing the will to play the game, yet Activision lay with their rose-tinted glasses on, catching a tan, instead of being the zoo ranger they should be. Soon, the bear will win, and the developers will see players quitting the game for good, in favour of Fortnite, Apex Legends, and other alike battle royales.
This scathing message was outlined in a recent upload from popular YouTube sensation Brad "Drift0r" Overbey, who has slammed the game by branding it "painfully unfun".
Why is Warzone Unbearable?
In his ten-minute long assault towards Warzone, Drift0r explained: "It’s difficult enough with skill-based matchmaking as it is, having to play the sweatiest top 1% players, that’s a challenge in-and-of-itself that I don’t particularly like for battle royale, but adding in blatant aim-botters on top of that makes the game painfully unfun".
Currently having to fight through multiple injuries sustained to his shoulder and back, Drift0r manages roughly five games per day at the moment, in which roughly three of them are populated by cheaters.
Will Content Creators Leave Warzone?
If Drift0r is anything to go by, it appears that content creators are reaching the end of their tether with Warzone. He added, "I really like Warzone, you can look at my videos, it’s my number one most favourite CoD thing to play, but I’m planning to jump ship”.
“I got up this morning, and I made the decision: I’m going to go ahead and keep making videos, but I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t think it’s worth playing anymore".
Concluding the rant, he claimed that it's not just him feeling this way either. Other content creators are bereaved at the lack of support, meaning that until Warzone becomes the somewhat safe high antics battleground that was intended, Epic Games will be rubbing their hands awaiting the rise of Fortnite.
