While some of you will undoubtedly be vexed that the Call of Duty dev is putting its time into new skins and third-person modes instead of tackling cheaters or the myriad of bugs, at least the team is trying to give us something new. It might not affect the overall experience, but third-person is now back in Warzone.

The return of Rebirth Island has been as divisive as you might expect, but with the overhauled Resurgence map making its mark since it jumped back into action with Season 3, it's becoming one of your go-to Warzone experiences. With an added third-person viewpoint, what better way to show off those snazzy skins?

Third-person Rebirth Island sparks hopes of a permanent mode

For a limited time, Rebirth Island is offering you a very different kind of match when dropping into Loaded Resurgence playlist. By changing your settings or holding down on the D-pad, your Warzone game will miraculously be transformed into Fortnite.

Given how much we spend on King Kong, Nicki Minaj, and weed Sloths, it makes sense that we actually get to see our fancy drips. The only problem is that because this is a limited-time mode, it won't be around forever. This has spurred the Warzone community into action, as fans beg for it to be a permanent addition.

One fan cheered, "Unpopular opinion: 3rd person should be in the game permanently," while another added, "Permanent 3rd person mode should be a must!" A third said, "I loved third person at the start of WZ2….wish they left it in.

However, there were some potential problems with Loaded Resurgence, as someone else pointed out, "So you can switch to third person in corners and check for enemies while enemy is playing first person. Accept it or not either everyone should be in third person or first person. I personally enjoy third person but it def gives advantage against someone in first-person."

There's no mention of a third-person CoD spreading beyond Loaded Resurgence, and with the comments including all the usual "Go play Fortnite," it's clear it would be a divisive addition. Also, with the OP lamenting the state of Warzone right now, we have to agree with the person who concluded, "I just want to be able to reload and pick stuff up tbh."
