Cloud9 has announced the signing of head coach Chris "Dream" Myrick and strategic coach Jornen "MoonChopper" Nishiyama for their VALORANT roster Cloud9 White.

Dream joins Cloud9 White after a season in the Overwatch League as an assistant coach for the Houston Outlaws. His singing with Cloud9 is technically a reunion as previously Dream had coached British Hurricane, the academy team of the London Spitfire, Cloud9's franchise in the Overwatch League. The move is the first time Dream will be officially working with a team in VALORANT.

Strategic coach MoonChopper has a career in Counter-Strike, Overwatch, and Paladins to look back to. As a professional player, MoonChopper competed in Paladins for esports organisations Splyce and Renegades from 2017 until late 2019, participating in the Paladins World Championship 2020 Main Event where his team fell short in the quarterfinals.

Last week, Cloud9 had signed Team MAJKL to their ranks, an all-women team consisting of Alexis "alexis" Guarrasi, Annie "Annie" Roberts, Jasmie "Jazzyk1ns" Manankil, Melanie "meL" Capone, and "katsumi". The team reached all the way into the top 32 during the First Strike North American qualifiers. In mid-September still under the name MAJKL, the team managed to win FTW Summer Showdown in impressive fashion, winning $25,000 (~£19,100) in the process.
