It’s finally here. Are we dreaming? Call of Duty: Vanguard has now officially landed on consoles and PC, and the Call of Duty community is going ballistic trying to work its way into the gameplay.

The WWII shooter has suggested it’s the beginning of the new era of the franchise, so fans are already testing Sledgehammer Games’ theories and seeing which elements from the beta have made it (or alternatively, not made it) into the final game. And just as they did during the testing period, fans have got some problems.

What's Wrong With Call Of Duty: Vanguard’s Audio

Not only are players having issues in-game with some weapons not making enough sound (or sound at all), but some are having trouble with the Vanguard audio in the game’s menus.

Even though it was a pretty common complaint throughout the title's troubled beta, fans still have a lot of problems with Vanguard’s audio.

Many players are also complaining that footsteps are either sketchy or non-existent - leaving developers with little wiggle room for fixes.

There’s also a fresh bug which means that PC players can only hear the audio of the game if they Alt+Tab to the desktop - luckily, though, fans have discovered a better way to balance their audio.

Fans Find Out How To Fix Wonky Audio

The audio bug on PC has already seen a fix, courtesy of proactive fans. All you have to do to resolve the strange audio problem is actually change your visual settings - change the game’s display mode from Fullscreen to Fullscreen Borderless, and the problem should be fixed. It’s an odd solution, but hey - it works.

It’s a shame that the audio is a little broken in time for Vanguard’s big launch, but hey - it could have been much worse. Chances are, Sledgehammer will deliver an early patch that takes care of these issues anyway. Hold tight, everyone, fixes should be on their way to the trenches soon.
