Call of Duty players worry 10v10 Mosh Pit is being axed

Sledgehammer Games has had something of a baptism of fire when it comes to Modern Warfare 3, with the sequel to 2022's beloved Modern Warfare 2 coming up short for many. Amidst accusations it's little more than a $70 DLC, some have dubbed it the 'worst' Call of Duty of all time.

Thankfully, Sledgehammer hasn't sat on its laurels and has done its best to address the deluge of complaints. We even got our first-ever comment on skill-based matchmaking. Things are on the change with the arrival of Season 1, but alongside all the new stuff, there are worries we're getting rid of some golden oldies.

Call of Duty fans are worried about 10v10 Mosh Pit

Over on Reddit (via Dexerto), Call of Duty players have expressed their concerns that the 10v10 Mosh Pit could be given the boot. With SBMM (unsurprisingly) being a sticking point, a number of you have been turning to the Mosh Pit playlist to avoid its harsher elements. 

Some have noticed a countdown next to Mosh Pit, with worries that time is ticking down on it. When this was highlighted on Reddit, many feared the worst. The OP said it would be the biggest L since the pre-patch MW3, and from the comments, it's clear a lot of you agree.

One disgruntled gamer wrote, "Ya this is arguably the best mode in the game. Fun, mixed lobbies at times, killstreaks feel OP like they used to be as opposed to 6v6, and I actually get some teammates who try to push the objective. If they remove this I'm going to be so disappointed, especially if they’re about to add the EMP and Swarm to the game."

Another added, "We had 9v9 on these maps as a permanent mode, but they won't let us have 10v10 permanently despite it obviously benefitting the series since MW 2019? Kind of lame," and a third said, "If they take it out I’m literally only playing zombies lmao. I wasn’t having fun until 10v10 dropped, these maps just don’t play well on 6v6 with the current gameplay."

10v10 Mosh Pit could be evolving

There's a chance that 10v10 Mosh Pit isn't being quietly shown the door like DMZ, and instead, others have put forward their own idea of how it's evolving. When one said that maps like Afghan and Quarry should be added to the playlist, someone added that they'd like all the maps to be added.
