Call Of Duty Players Demand New Mode To Fix Vanguard Visuals
Call of Duty: Vanguard has been going strong so far, but the dedicated followers of the franchise, as ever, have been very vocal about their gripes with the game. Despite the Vanguard (as predicted) selling like hotcakes, a vocal minority has been screaming about the game's faults in the pits of Reddit.
Many complaints are valid, of course, and one of the main points of contention with the game are the new realistic camera shakes - as well as player reactions to killstreak explosions. Thankfully, fans think they've come up with a solution.
Can Vanguard Fans Fix The Game's Visuals?
Fans in the CODVanguard subreddit are back on the hate train, and as complaints about the visual problems as a result of massive explosions continue, players are asking for a dedicated mode that does away with killstreaks altogether. In theory, this should offer a better and more consistent experience.
"We need a barebones game mode", reads a post by a user in the subreddit. "No f**king lethals or tacticals, no perks or streaks. The game is just an explosion clusterf**k, mortars, fire everywhere, stuns, f**king dogs body blocking everybody." Angry!
What Is Barebones Mode?
Call of Duty has previously had a barebones mode, so this isn't an entirely unreasonable request. The mode would completely strip out all killstreaks and drop players into objective-based games like Domination, Demolition and Capture the Flag.
The mode first arrived in Modern Warfare 2, and fans seem to remember it fondly if they're bringing it up so late on in the Vanguard subreddit. It's no secret that the visual problems have bothered a lot of players, and this mode would offer them an out from the massive destructive fallout of killstreaks.
To be honest, a game that forces players to actually focus on objectives rather than just trying to rack up kills while bombarding your opponent's screen with smog and debris is all good in our books. In the meantime, good luck out there on the battlefield of mortar barrages.
