Arguably the most popular Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, has been all but confirmed by Twitter User Nibel who posted a link to the South Korean rating board website.

This is the first time the rumoured remaster has been posted onto a rating board, and this all but confirms that we will see the game introduced in the coming months.

This does only confirm the campaign though. Back in 2018 when an amazon listing seemed to hint towards the game, there was only ever mention of the campaign, not the multiplayer experience. However, if we look at how the 2016 Call of Duty 4 was released, it is likely that later leaks will include a multiplayer experience.

The campaign for Modern Warfare 2 was most famous for its No Russian level, which was highly controversial but was rated by as one of the best campaigns since the Call of Duty franchise started. It’s fair to say that it had some of the most memorable characters featuring in it too, with fans loving Captain Price and Captain ‘Soap’ MacTavish. It is also famous for the most satisfying throwing knife that has ever happened. If you know, you know…

With hope, it shouldn’t be long before we have leaks of the multiplayer mode.

Keep an eye out at GGRecon for more Call of Duty news and future leaks.
