If you're a Call of Duty fan, you might be interested to know there's an easy way to score a win in the fan-favourite Warzone. While the main aim of parachuting into Verdansk or Rebirth Island is trying to be last squad standing, part of the fun of claiming first place is doing it honestly. While we've seen plenty of cheaters try and sneak their way to the top spot, a bizarre bug has appeared that awards you victory for doing absolutely nothing. Well, it definitely beats lurking in the fog and making the most of the stim glitch.

Anyone who's ever dropped into a round of Warzone will know it takes skill, teamwork, and (sometimes) a dash of luck. There's nothing better than seeing the "Warzone Victory" message, although it usually takes a bit of patience and comes a fair way into playing. Now, there are reports of a game coming to an end before players can even open their parachutes.

How does the Call of Duty instant win bug work?

Posting on Reddit u/gencaykurtt asked: "What is this sorcery". Things start as any normal Warzone match would, with players waiting in the drop plane. The short clip shows everyone waiting patiently to start blasting each other to pieces, but instead, the bloodshed never happens. Players make the jump, but only seconds later, the screen cuts to black and there's a victory message confirming first place. Perhaps the weirdest part is the fact they're even awarded XP for combat - which seems a little ironic.

More than just an isolated incident, it looks like the entire lobby is affected by the Call of Duty win glitch. It's unclear whether everyone was awarded a win, but someone pointed out, "If you look on the left of the screen you can see all the red chats going wild, which likely means they all Insta-died. What a frustrating glitch for them, and good luck for OP lol".

On the post, players were suitably confused. One wrote, "Whole lobby must of thought you guys were cheating. Im surprised you didn't get banned with people using the report cheaters option". Another added, "OK, i've seen a few instant win matches before, but none quite like that. I guess the entire lobby D/Ced but you were the lucky team who got left over".

Will the Call of Duty instant win bug come back?

It's an interesting idea that the server could accidentally disconnect all the squads apart from one, which would technically award a win to the victors despite not doing anything. There are no other reports of this bizarre Call of Duty instant win glitch, so we're unsure if anyone else has been the lucky recipient. There are claims on the OG post that others have experienced it, but this is Reddit, and we haven't seen any substantiated proof.

Game-breaking bugs are nothing new in Warzone, but with the seeming rarity of the latest one - and no one quite sure what's going on - can it be classed as one? We should keep our eyes open for a Call of Duty instant win glitch, however, it might've just been a one-off. Either way, this is just another drama Activision is having to deal with in the middle of having to ban 60,000 players for cheating. It's one the developers should definitely look out for to see if this potential win glitch starts to spread. Eight seconds has got to be some sort of record in terms of Warzone wins.
