While the rat pack, Tango Whisker, and Jaguar Warrior bundles have all received backlash from the Call of Duty community, none have been more controversial than the Izzy Operator skin.

When initially revealed by Activision, the Izzy cosmetic was called "Izanami," presumably after the deity of creation and death in Japanese mythology. However, after MW2 & Warzone 2 fans pointed out that the name spelt out "I'm a Nazi" backwards, Activision quickly changed the name to Izzy.

Now the flashy skin Operator skin has been released, players have realised that the devs haven't done the best job at removing all traces of the old name.

CoD devs didn't remove all 'Izanami' references from Izzy skin

The Izzy Operator bundle arrived in MW2 & Warzone 2 on July 24, and while countless players purchased the skin, they quickly noticed an oversight from the devs. As showcased by user Lindeboombier on the ModernWarfareII subreddit, Izzy's subtitles when they speak are still displayed as "Izanami."

"All that work to rebrand Izzy because of the name backwards and they forgot about subtitles," said the Reddit user. This mistake is likely going to be fixed extremely quickly given how fast Activision was around changing Izzy's original name.

It's worth noting that a lot of users have made it clear that they think it's "cringe" the devs felt the need to alter Izzy's name, given its original meaning in Japanese mythology.

If you're looking to purchase the Izzy Operator bundle in MW2 or Warzone 2, it costs 2,400 CoD points in the store.

The bundle comes with the Izzy Operator skin, the Bootlicker finisher, an ISO Hemlock Blueprint, and an MCPR-300 blueprint. It also comes with the standard vehicle skin, sticker, weapon charm, and of course, a loading screen.

While Izzy's subtitles are wrong at the moment, it's worth keeping an eye on them if you've bought the skin, as they're likely to change to their correct name very soon.
