With Modern Warfare 3 expected to release in November and the logo recently being leaked through a  Monster energy drink campaign, the excitement for the title is at an all-time high.

A lot of the community is hopeful that the upcoming game will address the problems that have been plaguing MW2. Not only that, there are countless requests for Call of Duty to go back to its roots and bring some of the legacy systems that made the OG experience so fun back in the day.

Well, after being asked directly on Twitter, CoD fans have revealed exactly which feature they want MW3 to bring to the table.

CoD fans want devs to bring back legacy features in MW3

Taking to Twitter on July 24, popular Call of Duty account ModernWarzone asked fans, "What do you want the future of Call of Duty to look like?"

As you would expect, this sparked a massive response from the community with content creator FaZe Kalei posting the most popular suggestion, revolving around bringing back legacy features.

"Prestige system back, proper sniping, go back to the routes of a basic setup class, (maybe like BO2. BO3 create a class?) brand new 3 lane maps. 3 lanes felt natural and helped the flow of the game," said the Twitch streamer.

Her comment received overwhelming praise from fans, begging the devs to take these ideas and add them to MW3. It's worth noting that there were also a lot of calls for "Better movement, slide-cancelling, & reload cancelling" to return to increase the skill gap between players.

Does MW3 have a release date?

While an official release date hasn't been confirmed for MW3 just yet, the judge overseeing Activision's court case against the FTC did reveal that the game will arrive in November 2023.

This validates previous leaks from Insider Gaming, but for now, we don't know the exact day that the title will be launching in November.

Although this is extremely exciting, it's still a mystery whether the devs have any intention of bringing back the legacy features requested by fans. At least the community won't have to wait long to find out what features MW3 will bring to the table.
