Introducing the final VALORANT Ignition Series event of the year in Europe: The BLAST Invitational.

BLAST will be hosting their first-ever VALORANT event, stepping out of their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive comfort zone, where they hosted the BLASTPremier series. produced by RFRSH Entertainment, the BLAST Invitational will unfold on September 11-13, featuring four of Europe's top teams.

G2 Esports, FunPlus Phoenix, Team Liquid, and Ninjas in Pyjamas will be the four teams competing for a €50,000 prize pool over the three days, with the format to be revealed at a later date.

Casted by Freya Spiers, Tombizz, James Banks (BanKsEsports), and Mitch McBride (MitchMan), the BLAST Invitational will be the last chance for the European sides to make their mark this year. Each team finished in the top four of the Allied Esports Odyssey Ignition Series, with G2 coming out victorious.

The Allied Esports Odyssey was the last invitational where all four sides met. Ninjas in Pyjamas will now have to bounce back if they want to leave a lasting impression on the season, as they fell to Team Liquid and FunPlus, the latter defeating them with a more than convincing 13-4 scoreline. G2 allowed FunPlus to have just 14 points over the two games in the final, with their combination of Jett, Omen, Cypher, Sova, and Sage proving too resourceful for Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow's side.

All four teams also featured in the LVL Clash 2 Ignition Series, in which G2 were victorious again, although Swedish outfit, Bonk, was able to leave Team Liquid behind in the group stages and make the final. Looking to bounce back Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom and his British teammates could look in the direction of Killjoy to turn ties in their favour, after the agent returned to the pool, and has since undergone a slight nerf.
