Spooky season is upon us. Finally. It’s time for games to unveil their sinister additions, whether they be cosmetic oddities, game modes or other bits and bobs, and everyone’s getting involved.

Ghostface from Scream has arrived in Warzone, Fortnitemares has returned to a lot of fanfare, and once again, fans are flocking back to Overwatch to pick up some new skins, while avoiding the Dr. Junkenstein event game mode for what feels like the 30th time in a row.

Rocket League certainly isn't one to be left out either, as Psyonix has now revealed the Halloween event that is bringing some brilliant cosmetics to the game.

Rocket League Reveal New DC Comics Cosmetics

The Haunted Hallows event is once again upon us, and Rocket League is spreading its wings with some great themed items to put in your trick or treat stash.

It comes with some great Batman-themed items, including cars and car toppers in reference to Harley Quinn and The Joker, but it also comes with three different batmobiles to take for a spin - two inspired by The Dark Knight, and another inspired by 1989’s Batman.

The update also brings a new limited-time version of the Rumble mode, bringing with it power-ups that have been inspired by DC’s ilk, like Harley Quinn’s hammer, Poison Ivy’s vines, and The Joker’s boxing glove.

It’ll also come with the Gotham Night variant of the Beckwith Park arena, featuring some special challenges that’ll let you unlock the themed cosmetics.

When Is The Haunted Hallows Event Starting?

Sadly, not everyone was in love with the return of the Batmobile. Some called out Psyonix for rehashing old content and effectively making their previous (rare) purchases worthless. The problem is, there are only do many Halloween cars out there, and with last year bringing the Ghostbusters' Ecto-1 to the gameRocket League could only do so much.

If you weren’t sure when you’d be able to join in with the spooky holiday shenanigans, don’t you worry - the event began today, so the new items and game mode should be available to you the next time you log on. Make it quick, though, as these items aren’t expected to be available for very long after October 31.

The Halloween event this year is going to be good news for many, fans of the Bat especially - so don’t waste any time and jump in before the cosmetics are gone forever.
