As if there weren't enough reasons to make us love Ariana Grande more than we already do. Well, it just so happens that she is a massive Pokemon fan.

Not only has Ariana revamped ponytails and long-sleeved jumpers, but this cultural icon taught us to say "thank u, next" to our exes, and went on to obliterate the patriarchal chain by helping us to realise it does make sense that God is a woman.

As well as hitting those sky-high notes, it turns out Ariana's other passion is one particular universally-loved game franchise. Yup, it's Pokemon. So much so, that the singer actually has a tattoo of her favourite Pokemon.

While it is obvious that Grande is a scholar of all things Pokeverse, there is one Mon who has managed to capture her heart above all others- Eevee. The Dangerous Woman star has made no secret of her love for the character. This was especially clear in January, 2019 when she revealed that on one of her few days off she "played Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee for fifteen hours. honestly."

Then, Grande pronounced her eternal love for Eevee loudly and proudly to the world when she revealed that she had got a tattoo of the fluffy-tailed Pokemon halfway down her left arm. Of course, Grande fans out there will know that the singer already has an eclectic collection of a reported 40 tats. However, each one has its own significant meaning for Grande.

For example, being a big Potterhead, she had the word 'Lumos' added to her collection of inks on her hand, while she cemented her love for Jim Carrey with a quote from The Truman Show on her left shoulder. Although, for her wedding to Dalton Gomez in May, 2021, Grande appeared to have a number of her tats covered for the big day - including her collection of butterfly tattoos on her arms.

Who Did Ariana Grande's Eevee Tattoo?

Grande revealed that she had the tattoo was done by Kane Navasard, who is based in Los Angeles. Grande showed off her new Pokemon ink on her Instagram story, saying she had been wanting "this for so long" and thanked Navasard for his work. The tattooist's Instagram page is filled to the brim with the various unique designs that he has created over the years, featuring everything from spooky clowns to intricate skeletons.

For Pokefans who are looking for something a little more retro for their next set of inks, there's the tattoo artist who specialises in creating designs based on the classic Game Boy days of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Players in Japan can always get their kicks by getting involved in some Pokemon-inspired sumo wrestling.

Then again, if you want to celebrate your love for the Pokeverse without the pain, you can always just head over to Universal Studios for a truly immersive Pokemon experience.  Just when we thought Grande couldn't add any more strings to her bow, she has well and truly proven that she is a Pokemon nerd just like the rest of us.
